CFS and ME
(Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis)
It seems these days that everyone knows of someone that has been diagnosed with CFS or ME and as yet there seems to be no medical drug that will treat these conditions successfully.
Recently Jayne has suffered from this condition and so we have explained below our finding that she used to help her recover.
Fatigue is a common symptom in many illnesses, but CFS is a multi-systemic condition and is relatively rare by comparison. Symptoms of CFS include post-exertional malaise; unrefreshing sleep; widespread muscle and joint pain; cognitive difficulties; chronic, often severe, mental and physical exhaustion; and other characteristic symptoms in a previously healthy and active person. CFS patients may report additional symptoms including muscle weakness, increased sensitivity to light, sounds and smells, orthostatic intolerance, digestive disturbances, depression, poor immune response, and cardiac and respiratory problems.
During the time Jayne suffered from CFS / ME we noticed that the biggest improvements needed to come from changes to the external factors influencing the living area.
This advice is given freely and without any type of guarantees so please read with this in mind, we do our best to try and help people that have changelling health conditions and for some certain things work and for others the same things do not. But hopefully if you are reading this article then either you are suffering from CFS / ME or know someone that is.
We are all aware that the world we live in today is becoming more toxic, the oceans are polluted, the air we breathe is also more than likely polluted unless we are fortunate enough to live in a the Swiss alps and the majority of our food is full to the brim with preservatives and more E numbers than we can be bothered to read let alone understand.
Give this escalation of toxicity our immune systems are starting to buckle under the load, stress is the number one illness of our decade and everyone knows someone that is suffering from the stress of daily life.
It would be of no great surprise then that an illness pops out of the woodwork that is undocumented and at present there is no medical drug to alleviate the symptoms of it. This illness has been labeled CFS or ME by the medical profession and is currently treated by a type of group therapy. People that suffer attend a group setting maybe in hospital and discuss the techniques that can be used to work with this illness. Most hospitals are advising patients to change their life and start "Pacing" themselves, this essentially means on days they have more energy they can do more than normal but not too much so they don't burn themselves out for the next day, and on bad days of muscle pain and terrible fatigue go with the body and rest as much as they can.
First Steps Back To Health
- Find a local alternative health centre and book in for a Colonic Irrigation session. This will start to clear all toxins in the colon that have built up over the patient’s lifetime removing remove feces and nonspecific toxins from the colon and intestinal tract. Accumulations of putrefied feces line the walls of the large intestine and that these accumulations harbor parasites or pathogenic gut flora, causing nonspecific symptoms and general ill-health.
- Find a local alternative health centre and book in for a course of homotheaphy, all good homeopaths will be able to help with the condition of CFS / ME and will treat your particular type of fatigue depending upon your personal situation with the illness.
- Remove all cleaning products in your property, and make your own using the recipes below or purchase only eco and green variants.
- The aim is to remove your proximity with all harmful chemicals. This is a very important step since in my opinion CFS / ME is caused by a build up of toxins in the body over stressing the immune system and causing a type of shutdown in the form of fatigue and pain. This includes polish, toilet cleaner, surface cleaner, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, floor cleaners, window cleaner etc etc.You can always use your old plastic spray bottles if you pour away the contents and fill with the recipes below. This is a great way to reuse the plastic and save you money.
- Hair dye, if you are using hair dye try a green variety that does not contain harmful chemicals.
- Do the same for all your toiletries especially regular use items such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc etc. There are now plenty of herbal and natural cosmetic products on the market so switch to them. See links below for some good retailers.
Home Cleaning Recipes
Take a trip to your local supermarket and purchase the following items.
- White distilled vinegar x 2 bottles ( less than 50p each )
- If you recycled your plastic spray bottles clean them out, if not but a few in the various £1 shops.
- Buy some scented essential oils, not the ones you plug in around your house to make it smell nice and if you have these turn them off as they are not essential oils and therefore a chemical cocktail that you are breathing.
General Household Cleaner (less than 50p for a litre)
Make a solution of 60/40 water to white vinegar and add maybe 20 drops of nice smelling essential oils to the spray bottle.
This solution can be used in the kitchen the bathroom or anywhere, no need for lots of different sprays costing a fortune and when it empty you an make some more in a flash for a fraction of the cost not to mention the health benefits you will notice.
Window Cleaner ( less than 50p for a litre)
Make a solution of 50/50 white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Use this with a newspaper to clean the windows or a cloth.
